Evangelion EVA-01 Keycaps Set

Design Concept

The EVA Unit-01 Keycap Set is inspired by the iconic biomechanical mech EVA Unit-01 from Neon Genesis Evangelion, combining legendary 90s mecha anime aesthetics with modern mechanical keyboard customization. This keycap set captures the high-energy, raw power of Shinji Ikari's test type unit through its unmistakable deep purple and vibrant neon-green color palette.

The design embodies the chaotic, heroic spirit of Bio-Mechanical defense and psychological drama, translating tactical mech interfaces into every keystroke. By integrating classic NERV warning typography, Japanese Katakana sub-legends, (Human Instrumentality Project) banners, and the legendary Spear of Longinus, this set transforms your keyboard into an authentic EVA cockpit terminal.

The striking contrast between deep, dark purple alphanumeric keys and glowing neon-green functional modifiers—punctuated by fierce crimson  (Berserk) and (Sortie) accent keys—creates an aggressive, high-impact desktop presence that balances fan nostalgia with premium desktop styling.

Design Details

This keycap set features a precise futuristic mecha HUD style with detailed tactical iconography and official-style Evangelion graphics distributed thoughtfully across the layout.

The main typing rows display rich deep-purple keycaps with clean Katakana sub-legends, framed by bright neon-green outer modifiers. Custom novelty keys bring iconic lore details to life: the Spear of Longinus stretching across the vertical Enter key, "UNIT_01" identification tags on the Shift keys, crimson emergency alert styling on the ESC and Alt keys, and tactical target reticles across the arrow and function clusters.

The overall design harmonizes legendary mecha anime culture with functional layout organization, making it an extraordinary centerpiece for both high-energy gaming builds and themed anime workspaces.
